How Brass Ages With Use

Solid brass is used across our hardware for its strength, durability and timeless character. Unlike coated or plated alternatives, our brass is left unfinished so it can naturally age and evolve over time.

As it is exposed to air, moisture and regular use, the brass will gradually oxidise. This process creates a natural patina, giving each piece its own unique character and depth. No two items will age in exactly the same way, which means every product becomes more personal the longer it is used.

Brass has been used for centuries in tools, fittings and everyday objects because of its reliability and long lifespan. It is a material that not only performs well under regular use but also improves visually as it matures.
